When Ram redesigned the 1500, it decided to keep the previous platform to create the truck known as the Ram 1500 Classic. Both of these full-size trucks have similar features, but the Classic has a lower MSRP and fewer options than the 2021 Ram 1500 has. Styling and Trims
The 2021 Ram 1500 comes in six trims, the Laramie, Bighorn, Tradesman, Limited, Limited Longhorn, and the Rebel. Each grille of the Ram 1500 has a unique design that sets them apart from each other. Depending on the trim, this truck comes as a CrewCab with a 5-foot 7-inch bed or a six-foot 4-inch bed. You can also get a QuadCab with the longer bed.
Power and Performance
You get five engine choices with the Ram 1500. The first is a 3.6-liter V-6 with an output of 305 horsepower. The 2021 Ram 1500 Classic comes in three trims, the Tradesman, Express, and the Warlock. As with the Ram 1500, each trim has a slightly different front grille to make them stand out from the crowd. The Classic has a RegularCab with a six-foot four-inch bed and the QuadCab with the same bed length.
Power and Performance
You have two engine choices for the Classic. Standard across all three trims is a 3.6-liter V-6 engine that produces 305 horsepower. The optional engine is a 5.7-liter V-8, 395-horsepower HEMI engine. An eight-speed automatic transmission pairs with both engines. All three trims come standard with rear-wheel drive or you can opt for the available four-wheel drive. When properly equipped, the 2021 Ram 1500 Classic can tow up to 10,610 pounds.
