2022 RAM 2500

The entry-level Ram 2500 Tradesman has 17-inch steel wheels and automatic halogen headlights. Step up to the Big Horn for 18-inch steel wheels, power-adjustable outboard mirrors, and integrated turn signals, or to the Power Wagon for black exterior trim elements, a front electric winch, and performance shocks.
The Laramie is up next with 18-inch alloy wheels and a locking tailgate, and then the Limited Longhorn with LED lighting in the bed, a remote tailgate release, chrome running boards, and memory settings for the side mirrors. The top-level Limited adds to this with 20-inch wheels, cargo tie-down hooks, and power-deployable running boards.

The base engine for the 2022 Ram 2500 remains the 6.4-liter V-8 gas engine with 410 horsepower. A 6.7-liter turbodiesel V-8 is optional for most trims, delivering 370 horsepower and generating 850 pound-feet of torque. Rear-wheel drive comes standard with all trims except the Power Wagon, which comes only with four-wheel drive. You can opt for the four-wheel drive with the rest of the lineup.

The 2500 can tow up to 16,870 pounds with the turbodiesel engine and haul up to 3,240 pounds. When equipped with the standard V-8, it can tow 14,370 pounds and carry the same payload.

The long list of trim levels means there is a Ram for every driver. The larger cabs have room for six, and if you have a mid to high-level trim, you'll enjoy upscale accommodations. The Laramie and up have leather upholstery, power-adjustable pedals, dual-zone automatic climate control, and a heated steering wheel. You can also get heated rear seats, heated and ventilated front seats, and a leather-wrapped steering wheel in the Longhorn and above.
Starting with the Big Horn, you'll get an 8.4-inch touch screen, and every Ram 2500 now has the latest Uconnect 5 infotainment system. There's also a Wi-Fi hot spot, Bluetooth, and Apple CarPlay and Android Auto in every model. The Longhorn adds navigation, while the Limited gains a 12-inch touch screen, along with a wireless charging pad.

Every Ram 2500 comes standard with a rearview camera, hill start assist, and a trailer sway damping system. The optional Safety Group for the Tradesman adds adaptive cruise control, a blind-spot monitor with rear cross-path detection, a digital rearview mirror, forward collision warning, lane-keep assist, and automatic braking. Step up to the Laramie to make front and rear parking sensors standard or to the Limited for a blind-spot monitoring system that includes trailer coverage. The new Tow Mode for 2022 provides a view behind the trailer, and there's now a 360-degree camera system specifically for trailers.
